I WILL SHAKE ALL THE NATIONS Haggai 2:7 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the Word of My mouth, and give them warning from Me. ” (Eze 3:17)
These have been the words the Lord let fall into my heart and that motivated this letter. As one of the "Watchmen" over our nation, and to some extent over the world, I felt a special burden from part of the Lord, pushing me to share through these means those Holy Spirit's directional words. It is my prayer that when these words are read, many may be confirmed in their spirits, finding also an echo to what God is speaking. I am not thinking that these lines carry the purpose of indicating you what you have to do; that relies upon your own criteria and prayer. Three months ago, during a service I had been invited to minister, the Lord brought to me the scripture of Haggai 2:6-9, and very strong was the voice of God in my heart constantly repeating: "For so says Jehovah of Hosts: Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth,... And I will shake all the nations; and the desire of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory, says Jehovah of Hosts."Undoubtly the message of the Spirit is that the so much wanted revival is coming, and that that revival will bring a revelation about the "Desire", who is no other but the Person of Jesus. Who of us doesn't want that revelation? Possibly we all do. But what the Holy Spirit was emphasizing very strongly was that very certainly the Desired One was coming, but that together with that would a tremor come, a shaking of the nations. This word 'shaking' in hebrew is RAWASH, that means to toss, to make tremble, to shake, to sieve, to convulse, an earthquake, a waving. So, a general convulsion is coming to this world. In Hebrews 12:26-29, but specifically verse 27 says: that God will remove those things that are movable, the things that have been made, so that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. This means we are at the door to a time in which God will shake all the things man can make so that only the unmovable remains, and the only unmovable things are His Word and His Presence. He promised us that heaven and earth would pass but not so His Word, or as the Psalmist says in Psalm 46:6-7, although the nations rage and the kingdoms are shaken, Jehovah of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. What an outlook! But the idea is not to leave a negative message, but to remind you the promise of God that there is a place where to be covered, aplace of refuge, and that it is not leaving for another nation or country because God will shake all the nations; therefore that refuge is the one mentioned in Psalm 91:1: the secret place of the Most High. That secret place is for us His Presence; it is a spiritual place. The world has already started shaking and trembling, as we see in the natural area with the different climate changes happening (earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, hurricanes, etc.) as also in the political arena (problems with different rulers, economical and social crisis) and the religious (Christian leaders falling to adultery or homosexuality); it looks like everything is getting out of control. But I want to bring to memory that vision Pastor David Wilkerson had in the seventies, when God allowed him to see a series of calamities that were to fall upon the earth. The day I heard him minister this to pastors in the United States is still in my memory; a heavy atmosphere was felt when these news were heard. But also unforgettable is when David said: "I have heard from God the five most beautiful words I had ever heard: God has everything under control!" Fear not, God is still sitting on His Throne; this is a time of grace, short, in which the Lord is giving us the opportunity to turn our hearts towards Him. To express the idea in a different way, I would like to tell you what Paul wrote to the Ephesians: that we should make good use of the time. Let us search to enter into His Presence, let us teach others to get to know that place, and to pray with all our heart for Him to cover us. Let me finish with the words of Psalm 46:1-3: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear when the earth changes, and when mountains are slipping into the heart of the seas. Let its waters roar and foam; let the mountains shake with the swelling of it. Jehovah of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Get your account right with God and run under the Blood of Jesus, remembering that God covers the confessed sins but not the ones we hide; it is time to be awake, because we don't know the day nor the hour. It is my wish that these words may touch your heart.
